Benefits & ERISA Paralegal at Beacon Hill Staffing Group, LLC in New York, New York

Job Description:

Retirement Fund for well-known organization is looking for a Paralegal who has experience working with benefits, investment management and ERISA.



RESPONSIBILITIES/KEY DUTIES:

• Draft, edit and maintenance of various contracts and documents including corporate agreements, investment documents and employee benefits related documents


• Corporate governance and housekeeping - taking minutes, maintenance of board materials, etc.


• Work with attorney on correspondence related to litigation, compliance, corporate and benefits


• Assist with AML and KYC questionnaires as it relates to retirement officers


• Maintenance and upkeep of all contracts


• Review powers of attorney, trust documents, estate documents and ensure these documents are in compliance according to state laws


• Legal research and due diligence

REQUIREMENTS:

• At least 3 years of experience as a Paralegal. Experience with ERISA, employee benefits, pension plans, retirement funds and contracts is a MUST.


• High proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel and PowerPoint)


• Bachelor's Degree


• Ability to handle sensitive and confidential information
