Job Description:

Calling all folks in the San Francisco, Santa Monica, Los Angeles and/or Silicon Valley areas!! We have a well known client in the legal industry in need of a Cash Operations Specialist who can sit in any of the four locations listed above. Allowing a hybrid schedule, this Cash Operations Specialist will be brought in on a contractual basis but with likelihood to convert to permanent dependent on performance. What You'll Do:

• Accurate and timely application of daily receipts to the general ledger.


• Monitor daily banking activity throughout the day.


• Pursue resolution of unmatched receipts/incomplete payments/other unusual or unclear transactions by collaborating closely with multiple groups within and outside Finance- Billing and Collections team, Attorneys, Secretaries. Build strong relationships that will enable successful collaboration and resolution of issues.


• Reconcile daily cash received in the bank to cash applied to the general ledger, resolve variances in a timely manner.


• Proactively follow up on open items and resolve.


• Provide real time updates and daily summaries to Finance and firm leadership.


• Collaborate with the GL team on daily cash accounting by resolving credits and other unposted bank activity and queries.
