GENERAL DESCRIPTION:
Responsible for creating and building relationships with customers and prospects. Manage the successful completion of assigned Floor Covering projects. This includes planning, organizing and integrating all activities associated with the projects.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Represent McCoy-Rockford products and services to general contractors, end users, and other outside entities to influence specification and product selection
Build and maintain strong relationships with current and new customers, general contractors, and end users; identify potential leads and sales prospects
Understand customer’s flooring requirements; review job site conditions and conduct field survey
Determine resource requirements for project; estimate time, materials and personnel costs; create proposals
Develop accurate sales projections and consistently meet and/or exceed sales goals and profit margins
Manage each project against the established project budget
Communicate project status with customer
Ensure all issues or change order requests are appropriately documented and addressed
Ensure all work is complete, invoiced, and documented
Participate in team meetings and training; complete all reporting requirements on a timely basis

KEY SELECTION AND SUCCESS FACTORS
WORK EXPERIENCE:
3+ years’ experience
Project Management experience preferred
Floor covering industry experience preferred
EDUCATION/QUALIFICATIONS:
High School Diploma or equivalent with some college required
OTHER/PREFERRED:
Must be highly organized and self-motivated
Must be able to work independently and balance competing priorities
Must have strong people skills with excellent listening, oral and written communication skills
Must demonstrate good judgment, problem solving and decision making skills
Must have basic mathematical aptitude
Must demonstrate good negotiating skills
Must be able to read and interpret drawings
Must be able to manage multiple tasks and priorities and easily adapt to changing situations
