The University of Pittsburgh, Department of Neurobiology is seeking a Laboratory Research Technician II. Prior Experience with Animal Research is preferred. Incumbent will assist/perform the care and training of research animals, run experiments and perform a variety of other duties to facilitate behavioral neuroscience research. Responsibilities will include: training animals on behavioral tasks; assisting with or conducting data collection and analysis; assisting with animal surgeries; assisting with the maintenance of lab computers, electronics and hardware; assisting with animal clinical care, environmental enrichment, and preparation of supplies and equipment.
Must be able to lift 45 lbs.
