About the Position



We are seeking a Graphic Designer to join our growing Architecture, Engineering, and Planning team in New Orleans, LA as a project content coordinator. The ideal candidate possesses 2-4+ years of related graphic design experience (internship, co-op and professional experience included) and wants to grow, collaborate, and innovate as a part of a product development team for architecture, engineering and planning products for Pond's federal clients.


The main function of a Content Coordinator is to create designs, concepts and sample layouts based on design principles and concepts. The ideal candidate will identify "the story" in complex reports or projects per our clients' statements of work and input, and work with our planning and design teams to help tell it in an engaging and clear manner through product layout, infographics, and other presentation methods.


In this position, the successful candidate will prepare submittals for publication to Federal Clients, build templates for submittals, and research new technologies to enhance the presentation of deliverables. The candidate will perform these tasks while working collaboratively under the mentorship of seasoned, licensed Architects, Engineers, and Planners. Projects will span across multiple Federal Clients and geographies affording opportunities for broadening knowledge and deepening skill sets related to graphic design, copyediting and publishing.


We are seeking someone who can be an independent self-starter and can move quickly and efficiently through a variety of stages and deliverable types ranging from concept plans to construction documentation. The ideal candidate will have a high level of creativity and be able to communicate their ideas to both internal and external clients. The ability to be flexible to successfully meet client demands and work well under pressure and multi-task are required skills.


Experience and Qualifications

• 2+ years of related graphic design and/or copyediting experience (including internship, co-op, or professional experience).


• Proficient with relevant graphic design software such as Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign, Acrobat) and Microsoft Office.


• Print publications experience and familiarity with print publication processes.


• Willingness to be trained and to train others on new and applicable software(s) as required.


• Strong attention to detail, initiative, and follow-through skills.


• Strong organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills-including the ability to comfortably communicate and present information, while operating in a fast-paced environment and managing competing priorities.


• Ability to work well within a team environment, positive attitude, and self-motivated to produce high quality work.


• Ability and desire to learn and grow professionally.

Additional Information


Many factors are considered when determining compensation at Pond, including scope and level of position, geographic location, candidate skill, knowledge and experience. Starting base pay may vary depending on these factors. We anticipate filling this position as a Military Planner I with a salary range of $55,800.00 - $82,100.00 .
