Position Overview:
We are seeking a Licensed Therapist to join our team on a part-time basis. This role will involve managing a small caseload of adolescent clients and facilitating therapeutic groups. The therapist will work closely with the interdisciplinary team to ensure the delivery of high-quality, trauma-informed care.
Key Responsibilities:
Client Care:
Manage a caseload of at least one adolescent client, providing individual therapy sessions and ongoing assessment.
Develop and implement individualized treatment plans that address each client's specific mental health needs and goals.
Conduct regular therapy sessions with clients, utilizing evidence-based practices to address trauma, anxiety, depression, and behavioral issues.
Group Therapy:
Facilitate therapeutic groups (approximately 2-3 per week) that focus on skill-building, emotional regulation, social development, and other relevant topics.
Create a safe, supportive, and structured environment during group sessions that fosters open communication and trust among group members.
Collaboration and Documentation:
Collaborate with an interdisciplinary team including psychiatrists, counselors, and case managers to ensure comprehensive care.
Maintain accurate and timely documentation of therapy sessions, group activities, and client progress in accordance with clinical and legal standards.
Participate in case reviews, team meetings, and supervision as needed.
Crisis Management:
Provide crisis intervention when necessary, working with clients to de-escalate situations and ensure their safety and well-being.
Qualifications:
Licensure: Must be a licensed therapist (LCSW, LMFT, LPC, or equivalent) in CA.
Experience: Minimum of 1 year of experience working with adolescents in a therapeutic setting. Experience in group facilitation is highly preferred.
Skills:
Strong clinical skills in individual therapy, with a focus on adolescents and trauma-informed care.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage teens and build rapport.
Ability to work collaboratively as part of a multidisciplinary team.
Schedule:
20 hours per week with flexibility to meet client and group needs.
Sessions may include both daytime and evening hours to accommodate clients' schedules.
