Job Description:

SUMMARY OF POSITION:

The Sr. Project Manager is responsible for planning, organizing, directing, and controlling complex projects within the implementation and deployment of new supply chain tools and technologies. Each complex project requires extensive cross-team organization, collaboration, and creative problem-solving skills. Projects will be executed utilizing our clients Project Methodology based on Agile principles and the Project Management Body of Knowledge (PMBOK) Standards. This Project Manager will be asked to help lead the implementation and integration of the Manhattan Omni as their new distributed order management system.

Task and Schedule Management:

The Sr. Project Manager is expected to be able to create written plans to manage and track tasks across multiple initiatives. When planning the work, the Sr. Project Manager must use their technical knowledge, as well as, solicit input from the technical staff, business units, and other IT support areas to assure the time-frames and expectations are realistic. It is expected that the Sr. Project Manager will develop resource plans necessary to complete projects and work with the Managers to provide those resources.

Communication & Stakeholder Management:

It is expected that the Sr. Project Manager frequently polls the project team for the status of activities, providing that status to business and IT management in a timely and accurate manner while reviewing the tasks to ensure completeness, validity of results, and compliance with our clients Project methodology. Interface with project stakeholders to ensure all involved are aware of status and potential issues. Develop a positive partnership with the user community and project stakeholders. Any issues that could or will impact the overall project milestones need to be communicated immediately

Accountability:

It is required that the associates assigned to project tasks understand what they are to do, what their priorities are and that they are accountable to complete the tasks with a high degree of quality within the timeframes established. Unacceptable levels of performance must be communicated to appropriate management. Ensure that the users you interact with are accountable for their actions and decisions that impact these projects.

Leadership:

Sr. Project Managers are expected to be a true leader for their project staff. Establish the vision for the project team as it relates to achieving the goals and objectives of the Project Sponsor and the company. Be proactive in anticipating and securing the resources needed to achieve the established goals and objectives.

Responsibilities:
• Develop project plans to minimize cost and implementation risks.
• Help lead the changes and improvements of our client's newly designed Loyalty Program, FLX 2.0. Guide development teams through changes across multiple new platforms and applications.
• Plan and assist on the implementation of FLX 2.0 and the impacts it will have across all E-Commerce avenues.
• Provide communication, documentation, and everyday management of projects, while ensuring that all risks, timelines, budgets and scope are managed.
• Initiate, plan, execute, monitor/control, and close projects
• Perform quality assurance and risk management
• Project budget and schedule estimation and management
• Manage project team members
• Engage with stakeholders and manage internal, external and third-party relationships
• Conduct status review meetings with team members and clients
• Provide reports and documentation on the project stage and progress

QUALIFICATIONS
• Requires a Bachelor's Degree in IT, Retail, Project/Program Management, Business and/or any related field.
• Requires a minimum of 7 years of related work experience, with at least 5 years of experience in a project management role.
• Direct experience with projects in Supply Chain, E-Commerce, CRM, Loyalty Programs and various other platforms
• Oversee high-budget IT retail projects end to end that impact multiple areas of a technology organization.
• Experience working with system integrators (ie. Deloitte, PwC, etc.)
• Played an extensive role in the planning, execution, and implementation of projects.
• Overseeing multiple inflight projects.
• Must be proficient with Microsoft Project • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills • Demonstrated stakeholder management skills
• Experience managing resources in a matrix organization
• Experience in vendor sourcing and management preferred
• Experience with Agile, Hybrid, and Waterfall Methodologies
• PMP Certification desire
