Job Description:

Summary

Our client is seeking a Superintendent to join their growing team. This position will be responsible for managing daily operations on job sites and maintaining certain or all aspects of projects depending on size and complexity. The superintendent will serve as the liaison between project stakeholders to promote the interest of both the business and client in all matters.

Responsibilities:

  • Manage development and maintenance of project schedule including reoccurring updates of the status of the project.
  • Reacts appropriately and timely to schedule challenges to maintain a projects schedule.
  • Competent in interpreting all contract documents and understanding the scope of work involved.
  • Manages the review of plans and drawings in accordance with contract documents and the coordination of shop drawings.
  • Must participate in meetings with owner representatives, architects, and engineers, providing information and progress reports.
  • Ensures all clarifications, changes, and RFIs are updated and adhered to with company supervision and all subcontractors and suppliers.
  • Responsible for daily reports, progress reports, compliance reports & logs
  • Coordinates and oversees regulatory inspections.
  • Supports the project team in the development of RFIs
  • Participates in specification review to establish scopes of work and develop an overall project schedule.
  • Works with preconstruction and business development teams as required to evaluate a project and develop a plan for completion.
  • Helps estimator in developing general conditions package.

Requirements:
  • Bachelor's Degree in Construction Management, Engineering or equivalent preferred.
  • Minimum of 8 years of relevant construction experience.
  • Minimum of 5 years of construction leadership or management experience.
  • Experience managing all aspects of construction projects including mechanical, architectural, civil, and mechanical.
  • Ability to read and interpret architectural and engineering drawings.
  • Strong communications skills, both verbally & written to both internally and externally.
  • Proven knowledge of relevant local, state, & federal rules & regulations, including OSHA.
  • Strong leadership and decision-making skills.
  • Results driven and effective time management skills.
