Job Overview:
We are seeking a dynamic and deadline-driven Project Manager to lead a critical governance initiative focused on addressing Corrective Actions within our financial services client. This role will involve driving the governance forum, coordinating cross-functional teams, and ensuring that senior management has the necessary structure and data to make informed decisions. You will need to quickly understand the business structure, manage governance processes, and support ongoing workflow and data enhancements.
This position is ideal for someone with strong project management skills, the ability to articulate complex processes to senior stakeholders, and a track record of delivering on strict deadlines. Familiarity with Wells Fargo or financial services is a plus, though not mandatory.
Key Responsibilities:
Governance Forum Kickoff: Lead the governance forum to address corrective actions due in November, ensuring all necessary topics and processes are discussed.
Executive Communication: Create and deliver structured presentations and decks to senior management (including Heads of CIB Markets), articulating progress, governance processes, and data analysis.
Corrective Action Management: Ensure corrective actions are tracked, managed, and completed on time, with an emphasis on meeting the November deadline.
Project Management: Coordinate between various teams (business, data management, system governance) to ensure workflows, data structure enhancements, and governance processes are fully integrated and communicated.
Workflow and Data Governance: Oversee the governance of the system, ensuring that the company's ownership of the system is clearly articulated, workflows are enhanced, and data structures are improved.
Stakeholder Engagement: Work with data stewards and data management teams to identify data owners and ensure proper data governance practices are followed.
Deadline Management: Drive timelines and ensure that all project milestones are met, with a focus on delivering the corrective process by the end of November.
Continuous Improvement: As the governance forum evolves, continuously refine the structure and governance processes to ensure alignment with senior management's expectations and business needs.
Qualifications:
5+ years of project management experience, ideally within financial services, corporate governance, or data management.
Ability to quickly understand and integrate into the business structure, with minimal onboarding time required.
Strong communication and presentation skills, with the ability to create structured presentations and decks for senior stakeholders.
Proven track record of managing deadline-driven projects.
Experience in governance or regulatory processes is a plus.
Ability to articulate complex processes and ensure teams are held accountable for delivering on goals.
Strong organizational skills, with the ability to handle multiple workstreams and ensure alignment across teams.
Preferred Skills:
Governance or Data Stewardship Experience: Familiarity with governance forums, data structure enhancements, and system stewardship processes.
Experience in coordinating cross-functional teams, including legal, data management, and operations.
Background in Corrective Action Plans (CAPs) or regulatory-driven project management is highly valued.
