LesserEvil is an innovative, healthy-snacks brand hiring a Facility Development Coordinator to work on-site at our Danbury, CT office.
As part of the Operations Team, the primary function of this position will be to drive the development and execution of LesserEvil's capital projects. This position will build and manage relationships with internal and external stakeholders with a goal of effectively implementing initiatives that promote growth and productivity.
The ideal candidate will have experience in developing and executing capital projects in a manufacturing environment, with knowledge of project management best practices (priority management, timelines, etc) are considered essential qualities for success. Food/Beverage or CPG (Consumer Packaged Goods) and plant production line experience are considered a plus.
This individual will report to the Sr. Project Manager.
Responsibilities:
Leading capital project design, development, and execution from concept through closure while ensuring vertical startups.
Responsible for defining performance criteria, developing timelines, estimating capital budgets, and managing spend.
Your work will involve coordinating with multiple internal partners (e.g. Plant Operations, Finance, EHS, R&D).
External interaction will include, but not limited to, equipment vendors, construction contractors, and engineering service contractors.
Providing support for local permitting (new construction and renovation projects).
Driving lean and standard work principles to ensure early equipment management and vertical startups.
Building strategic relationships with internal customers and external equipment suppliers to ensure continued alignment and success.
Providing strong communication skills in diverse environments with multiple internal/external stakeholders.
Utilizing a continuous improvement mindset by recommending improvements to processes and procedures.
Performs other related duties as assigned and special projects as designated.
Qualifications
Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical, Electrical, Industrial, or Chemical Engineering, or equivalent experience accepted in lieu of degree
3-4+ years of capital engineering project or project management experience.
Technical understanding of manufacturing systems and equipment.
Experience managing projects in the $100k - $10 Million range.
Ability to work well both in teams and independently

Must be authorized to work in the United States
Must be willing to work in Danbury, CT
Must have a reliable vehicle as daily trips between factories, warehouses, and HQ may be necessary
