Type: full-time

Job Description:

About the Role

Marketing Attribution was founded by experienced veterans of the marketing measurement industry. We help advertisers, advertising platforms, and market research firms measure and optimize the impact of media and other marketing investments. We're technology leaders, pioneering techniques that are now widely used across our industry including Bayesian marketing mix models (MMMs) and effective frequency-based response curves. Our consultants leverage advanced analytics, machine learning, and our cloud-based, automated modeling platform to build predictive sales models and deliver business insights that change how clients plan, advertise, and grow their business.

Responsibilities:
  • Work with clients on data acquisition, figuring out what's relevant and what's not.
  • Sculpt the data for ingestion into our tools, usually in Python.
  • Build models in our engine. We mainly build MMM, pricing models, and promotion models.
  • Meet with clients to share insights and recommendations via PowerPoint presentations or through our dashboards. Help clients understand where they are spending too much or too little, what worked or didn't work, and why.
  • Build marketing budget optimizations and help clients maximize sales and marketing ROI.
  • Help colleagues brainstorm or solve coding or modeling problems.
  • We have clients that license our software for their own modeling. Some days we are coaching them to be great modelers too.

Requirements:
  • Graduate degree in analytics, data science, operations research, industrial engineering, statistics, economics, or other quantitative field
  • 2 years work experience - exceptions possible if you're truly as incredible as you seem
  • Intermediate+ Python skills. We're mainly a Python shop on the analytics consulting team.
  • Good knowledge of regression, elastic net, or other related machine learning methods. The right candidate loves math as much as we do and will let it lead the way.
  • Ability to quickly size a data challenge and engineer the right amount of automation and sophistication against the project priorities.
  • Keen interest in using analytics, modeling, and problem solving to address marketing attribution challenges for a diverse set of clients and industries. The research questions start at marketing but span distribution issues, pricing strategy, supply chain analytics, etc.
  • Clear and confident communication.
  • Flexibility in what you'll be working on. We like to help each other out. So we might ask you to work on a variety of things (data ingestion, attribution models, research, software).

Compensation
  • Competitive salary. Target range is $75K to $125K depending on experience.
  • 4 weeks' vacation plus Company holidays
  • Equity in the company (or equivalent for foreign nationals who can't hold equity)
  • Company generously pays full premium for life, disability, and health insurance.
  • IRA plan with matching employer contribution

Foreign Nationals

This is a country built by immigrants. We're open to hiring anyone, regardless of anything except talent, skills, integrity and attitude.
