Our client is a technology company in the oil and gas industry and has offices in multiple locations in the US and Canada. We are looking for a Panel Shop Manager who will be responsible for directing a team in the assembly and delivery of industrial control panels for automation systems.
Job Responsibilities
Lead a team in building industrial control panels.
Understand and follow schematics and diagrams for installing parts, wires, and components.
Route and bundle wires and cables neatly to meet wiring standards.
Read and interpret instructional drawings and schematics.
Apply knowledge of UL 508A standards and practices.
Understand wire types and sizes, as well as the National Electrical Code (NEC).
Demonstrate a solid understanding of electrical fundamentals.
Maintain red line drawing mark-ups for changes during fabrication and communicate them to the appropriate parties.
Update and maintain procedures and training materials for the team.
Keep an organized and clean workspace.
Perform other duties as assigned by the Manager.
Job Qualifications
5+ years of experience in the Electrical Field
Proficiency with blueprints, schematics, diagrams, and point-to-point drawings.
Strong organizational skills, capable of managing multiple projects concurrently.
Ability to perform repetitive tasks while maintaining high standards of quality.
Professional demeanor and effective communication with both internal and external contacts.
Dedication, hard work ethic, focus, and meticulous attention to detail.
Excellent color vision for identifying wires by color.
Knowledge of basic hand tools and proficiency in their use and maintenance.
