As a Customer Service Representative, you will play a vital role in ensuring smooth operations by processing purchase orders, assisting customers with inquiries, and supporting internal and external sales teams.
Key Responsibilities:
Accurately enter purchase orders, ensuring alignment with customer expectations regarding material and freight costs.
Generate, review, and send order acknowledgments to customers.
Respond to customer and sales staff inquiries about order status, product information, pricing, lead times, and more.
Handle returned goods authorizations and credit requests.
Process credit card payments.
Provide expert customer support through knowledge of the company's products and applications.
Manage inbound sales calls and maintain effective communication between customers, management, and sales representatives.
Prepare and follow up on customer quotations.
Ensure special orders receive the necessary attention by coordinating with relevant departments.
Qualifications:
High school diploma or GED required.
2+ years of experience in customer service, with experience in data entry or order processing within construction, commercial, or manufacturing industries preferred.
Strong order entry and Windows Office skills.
Typing speed of 35 wpm.
Professional phone etiquette and excellent communication skills.
