Ascendo Resource is working with a long-time client and seeking an experienced and results-driven Project Manager to join their Commercial Construction team. As a Project Manager, you will be responsible for overseeing and managing all aspects of commercial construction projects, from initial planning to project completion. The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of the construction process, strong leadership skills, and the ability to deliver projects on time, within scope, and within budget.
Key Responsibilities:
Project Planning & Development:
Define project scope, objectives, and deliverables in collaboration with stakeholders.
Develop comprehensive project plans, including schedules, budgets, resource allocation, and risk management strategies.
Ensure all necessary permits, approvals, and regulatory requirements are secured.
Team Leadership & Coordination:
Lead cross-functional project teams, including architects, engineers, subcontractors, and other construction professionals.
Foster a collaborative working environment to ensure effective communication and cooperation between all project stakeholders.
Provide regular updates to senior management, clients, and stakeholders on project status, progress, and any issues that arise.
Budget & Cost Management:
Develop, monitor, and manage project budgets, ensuring cost-effectiveness and financial efficiency.
Track expenses and provide accurate financial reports to stakeholders.
Implement cost-saving measures while maintaining project quality and performance.
Scheduling & Timelines:
Create detailed project schedules, ensuring all activities are planned and executed to meet deadlines.
Identify potential delays or obstacles and take corrective action to keep the project on track.
Ensure all project milestones and completion dates are achieved.
Quality Control & Compliance:
Ensure all work is completed in compliance with local building codes, safety regulations, and quality standards.
Conduct regular site inspections to monitor progress and ensure quality and safety protocols are followed.
Address any issues or defects in construction in a timely manner.
Risk Management:
Identify project risks and develop mitigation strategies to minimize their impact on the project.
Proactively resolve issues or conflicts that may arise during the construction process.
Client Relations:
Serve as the primary point of contact for clients throughout the project lifecycle.
Maintain positive client relationships by providing regular updates, addressing concerns, and ensuring satisfaction with project outcomes.
Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or a related field.
Minimum of 5 years of experience managing commercial construction projects.
Strong knowledge of construction methods, materials, and regulations.
Proven ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously while meeting deadlines.
Excellent leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills.
Proficiency in project management software (e.g., Procore, Microsoft Project, etc.).
PMP or equivalent certification preferred.
