Russell Tobin is seeking a Lab Technician for an American multinational conglomerate operating in the fields of industry, worker safety, healthcare, and consumer goods.
Job Title: Lab Technician
Location: St. Paul, MN (on-site)
Job Type: Contract
Length: 12-Months
Hours: 8am-5pm, 40 hours/week
Pay Rate: $20.00 - $24.25 per hour
Description:
Performs chemical, biological, physical, and/or mechanical analyses and tests required for research, development, or quality control of processes and products.
Mixing inks and coatings, performing testing for reflective products
Assists with compiling, analyzing, interpreting, and documenting results.
Using instruments to measure properties
Destructive testing of films or coatings to measure properties of coatings
Education:
Bachelor's Degree in a scientific field, preferably Chemistry or Engineering
Requirements:
Physical property and destructive testing of films or adhesives.
Wet lab chemistry experience
Ability to follow procedures and methods and to work well on a self-directed team
Computer literate with good communication and time management skills.
Good mechanical aptitude and skills as well as experience and specific training in inspection procedures and/or the product line are required.
Preferred skills:
Chemical mixing, coating of formulations on thin films to thicker substrates
