LLH Recruitment Solutions (formerly known as Ajilon) is seeking an experienced Buyer for a Direct Hire, Permanent Placement position with a well-established & successful manufacturing company located in Indianapolis, IN. In this role, the buyers are responsible for managing all phases of strategic purchasing initiatives for the facility including raw materials, direct, and indirect commodities. The salary for this position is commiserate with at least 5 years' experience and ranges from $75-85,000 plus a comprehensive benefit package, Paid Time Off, and a 401K plan with a company match.
Responsibilities:
Manage vendor relationships, purchasing, contract requirements, and raw material flow to the production flow for a manufacturing facility.
Negotiate supplier price reductions.
Identifying productivity initiatives and supplier rationalization opportunities for assigned commodities.
Requires strong negotiation skills to manage internal and external issues to meet customer expectations for launch timing and costs.
Work closely with cross function teams and on the production floor to ensure associates have materials they need to keep production on schedule.
Qualifications:
Bachelor's Degree- required
5+ years of purchasing experience for manufacturing facilities
Prior ERP/WMS and Microsoft Office experience
Experience purchasing raw materials, direct and indirect products
Experience with domestic and international vendors
