Role Description
The position will lead and coordinate new product development and product improvement projects. In addition, they will maintain a robust project roadmap to deliver ongoing improvement of cost, quality, and innovation for our industry leading product range. This role will lead a team of product developers and merchandisers to develop and implement new products along with performance improvements through customer insight and innovation. Set the strategic plan for products including developing a roadmap of ongoing product improvements which will further strengthen our portfolio of products Interact with cross-functional team including marketing, supply chain, wholesale, finance, legal, and external third parties such as global suppliers and manufacturers to reach objectives. Refine our internal processes and develop ways of working to optimize efficiency Track projects and manage projects from conception to launch and ensure on time project delivery. Provide project leadership and communicate updates across cross-functional teams and to senior leadership.
Key Performance Objectives in order of priority include:
Drive the development of new products from concept to launch
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to prioritize and plan the product roadmap, focusing on delivering compelling products and experiences that provide optimal value.
Work with suppliers and manufacturers to ensure quality, compliance and brand standards are met
Ensure compliance with relevant industry standards, regulations, and safety requirements throughout the product.
Manage direct reports
Required Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Product Design, Science, or a related field or relevant business experience.
7-10 years of experience in product development or a similar role; prior management experience preferred.
Strong understanding of product development processes, from ideation to commercialization.
Knowledge of manufacturing processes, materials, and cost optimization techniques.
Strong market awareness, with the ability to translate customer needs into product requirements.
Strong problem-solving and analytical skills, with attention to detail and a focus on delivering high-quality products.
A creative mindset and a passion for innovation and continuous improvement.
