Job Description:

The Procurement Manager is responsible for the operational oversight of procurement and materials management at a manufacturing site. This role combines the strategic responsibilities of managing Utilities, Industrial Gases, Chemicals, and Energy procurement with the operational duties required to maintain safe, continuous, and reliable manufacturing operations at the site level. The manager will ensure alignment between corporate procurement strategies and site-specific needs, driving value through cost savings, innovation, quality enhancement, sustainability, and risk management.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Supplier Relationship Management: Establish and maintain strong relationships with key suppliers, lead negotiations, manage contracts, and ensure supplier performance meets corporate and site requirements.
  • Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work closely with business units and cross-regional, cross-functional teams to ensure category strategies align with organizational goals and meet site-specific needs.
  • Risk Management: Identify and mitigate risks within the category, including supply chain disruptions and price volatility.
  • Procurement Execution: Oversee procurement processes, including sourcing, contracting, purchase order issuance, and supplier management, to support site operations, particularly during planned outages, turnarounds, and routine maintenance.
  • Supplier Performance: Monitor and manage supplier performance, driving continuous improvement in availability and quality. Implement corrective actions as necessary.
  • ERP Data Management: Oversee the management of ERP master data, including lead times, reorder points, and quantities, to ensure inventory accuracy and financial objectives are met.
  • Inventory Control: Supervise physical inventory and cycle counting processes, ensuring compliance and ongoing improvement in inventory accuracy.
  • Systems Oversight: Ensure proper use of ERP and other systems, updating data as required to maintain accurate planning and reporting.

Qualifications:
  • Education: Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Finance, Supply Chain Management, or a related field.
  • 10+ years of experience in procurement, with a minimum of 5 years in category management.
  • At least 10 years of progressive Supply Chain experience in a manufacturing environment, with a minimum of 2-3 years in a supervisory role.
