The successful person would be part of the site capital team. Contractors receive direction, project assignments and coaching from the capital site leader (also on this e-mail). There is a portfolio of projects, typically they are HSES or maintenance projects for the site. They generally are between $250K-$500K, but some can be smaller or larger depending on the candidate. Candidates are expected to manage multiple projects at the same time.
Candidates that have been successful have a background at a chemical plant or refinery. They will take initiative and have effective knowledge of OSHA PSM, Management of Change, Construction practices, OSHA 30 certification, SAP experience and preferably are PMI PMP certified or have a background of successfully executing projects from concept to completion. They will have knowledge of SAP and are proficient at MS Project, and MS Office software. They will be able to effectively lead teams to refine scope and implement the projects they are assigned. They must have the ability to prepare a budget and estimates. They must be able to identify what resources are needed to successfully execute the project. Most projects incorporate piping so a candidate well-versed in piping will be more successful. They must be able to read and understand all types of engineering drawings.
