Protecnium (protecnium.com/en) is an international consulting firm specialized in engineering and technical services in construction. We are currently looking for a Project Engineer for a Water Infrastructure Project in Kansas City.
Estimated duration: 12 months, with the possibility of extension depending on the progress of the project. Generally, at the end of a project, efforts are made to move the employee to other projects for continuity.
Main mission:
The Project Engineer will be responsible for on-site project administration, scheduling, and technical oversight. This includes managing engineering activities, coordinating with subcontractors, preparing project schedules, and ensuring compliance with project specifications and safety standards.
Responsibilities:
Assist in the creation and management of the project schedule.
Ensure designs and specifications are followed correctly.
Coordinate procurement of materials and monitor resource control.
Oversee quality standards and conduct site inspections.
Ensure compliance with regulatory and safety standards.
Maintain communication with all stakeholders.
Review subcontractor and owner pay estimates prior to management's approval.
Supervise cost report management and lead regular review meetings.
Manage the project document control system.
Identify issues early and work to develop solutions.
Prepare all required information for presentation at project reviews.
Address Technical and logistical issues on-site.
Requirements:
Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or Construction Management
4-5 years of engineering experience in similar heavy civil construction projects
Experience with USACE projects or water infrastructure projects
Familiarity with earthworks, drainage, concrete, bridge construction, retaining walls or highway construction scopes
JD Edwards experience is a plus
Working Hours: Monday to Friday, office hours (40 hours per week).
