Job Description:

Protecnium (protecnium.com/en) is an international consulting firm specialized in engineering and technical services in construction. We are currently looking for a Project Engineer for a Water Infrastructure Project in Kansas City.

Estimated duration: 12 months, with the possibility of extension depending on the progress of the project. Generally, at the end of a project, efforts are made to move the employee to other projects for continuity.

Main mission:

The Project Engineer will be responsible for on-site project administration, scheduling, and technical oversight. This includes managing engineering activities, coordinating with subcontractors, preparing project schedules, and ensuring compliance with project specifications and safety standards.

Responsibilities:
  • Assist in the creation and management of the project schedule.
  • Ensure designs and specifications are followed correctly.
  • Coordinate procurement of materials and monitor resource control.
  • Oversee quality standards and conduct site inspections.
  • Ensure compliance with regulatory and safety standards.
  • Maintain communication with all stakeholders.
  • Review subcontractor and owner pay estimates prior to management's approval.
  • Supervise cost report management and lead regular review meetings.
  • Manage the project document control system.
  • Identify issues early and work to develop solutions.
  • Prepare all required information for presentation at project reviews.
  • Address Technical and logistical issues on-site.

Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or Construction Management
  • 4-5 years of engineering experience in similar heavy civil construction projects
  • Experience with USACE projects or water infrastructure projects
  • Familiarity with earthworks, drainage, concrete, bridge construction, retaining walls or highway construction scopes
  • JD Edwards experience is a plus

Working Hours: Monday to Friday, office hours (40 hours per week).
