Job Description:

The position requires a strong start-up mindset and a desire to be hands-on and present on the manufacturing floor. This role supports the operations department driving new products through the early stages of the stage gate process. The job will require developing and implementing controls, hands-on trouble shooting, analyzing data and providing critical feedback to R&D to ensure product quality and usability. Ultimately, you will be assisting in preparing for High Volume Manufacturing. Experience in creating a sustainable, balanced process line is critical. The candidate should be comfortable with initially changing manufacturing parameters in support of a development environment. The ideal candidate should be able to work independently with minimal supervision. The company head office is in Portland, Oregon but the position will predominantly be in the Southern California area.

Essential Requirements

Greater than five years' experience in chemical engineering, chemistry, material science or process / Industrial engineering. Experience can be offset by an advanced degree (MS or PhD.) Knowledge of Polymer Processing, Urethane system processing, Mold Design concepts, Lab Experience and Product design and development. Experience with Quality Systems used in the Semiconductor Industry highly desirable. Interest and passion to work in a start-up environment.

Working knowledge of CAD tools (preferable SolidWorks)

Machine Vision design
