Our client, an aerospace company based in Santa Barbara, CA is seeking a Senior Systems Engineer to join their team. The successful candidate will have a good background and knowledge in power electronics, be well versed in aerospace and defense standards and worked in the specification and design of complex systems involving electronic, software and mechanical components.
The salary for role is $140k - $165k dependant on skills and experience. Our client is also offering medical, dental and vision as well as PTO. Due to the nature of the work, candidates must be U.S. citizens or Green Card holders.
Skills & Experience
Expertise in designing and implementing system architecture for complex projects.
Extensive experience working with advanced electrical systems and components.
In-depth knowledge of power electronic systems, including their design and application.
Proven background in aerospace or defense systems engineering.
Familiarity with industry standards, such as DO-160, DO-254, or other relevant MIL standards.
Proficient in using requirements management tools, including DOORS.
Strong understanding of embedded software development and the integration of mechanical aspects in systems engineering.
Experience in the verification and validation of complex systems to meet industry-specific standards.
Skilled in producing comprehensive and detailed technical documentation throughout the project lifecycle.
