We currently have an opening in our Fort Lauderdale, FL office for an MEP Project Manager.

Responsible for the management of projects so they are completed on time and within budget. The Project Manager also actively participates in soliciting new business for the organization and writing new proposals. Responsible for business review of billings and collections. Support organization's mission and vision to meet company's objectives by providing exceptional client service.

Essential Functions
• Serve as the primary contact for information relating to a project's progress and schedule.
• Establish a self-directed, comprehensive training procedure to develop a complete understanding of all trades.
• Review other teams design projects.
• Participate in standards meetings within respective engineering discipline.
• Collaborate with clients and clients' PMs to meet their objectives.
• Ensure clients are under contract for all projects and that the terms are understood and accepted.
• Prepare monthly billings in conjunction with Principal in charge and Team Leader.
• Monitor status of accounts receivable and actively pursues payment on delinquent accounts.
• Establish due dates and schedules for projects in conjunction with the Team Leader, Principal in Charge and clients.
• Responsible for overall technical content of a project using engineering formulas; has the skills for ensuring safety and technical accuracy and coordinates all disciplines.
• Review design project for code compliance and performs code research as required to comply with applicable State, Local and Federal codes.
• Coordinate submissions with clients inclusive of updating backgrounds, progress sets, permit sets, review sets, etc.
• Coordinate the contract documents between engineering disciplines. Writes specifications through completion.
• Provide technical support to contractors throughout construction.
• Act as technical advisor to junior staff regarding project assignments.
• Perform design work using AutoCAD and Revit.
• Monitor progress on projects and coordinates all disciplines on projects.
• Act as a resource to subordinates for project engineering advice and consultation.
• Plan time of self and design team to ensure project is completed on time, on budget and is technically correct.
• Responsible for overall quality review for all trades of his/her projects.
• Monitor construction progress and C.A. correspondence to ensure accurate and timely responses to R.F.I.'s and related issues.
• Enhance existing client relationships through exceptional service.
• Develop proposals for new work and negotiate final fee with client.

Requirements
• B.S. degree preferred in Mechanical or Electrical engineering with 5 years or more experience in project management.
• Must be able to use AutoCAD and Revit, for drafting and design to complete a project.
• Strong knowledge of MS Office products.
• Able to travel and visit work sites as necessary to the job at the time convenient for the client, contractors and building managers.

• Demonstrated ability to build and foster client relations.
• Must possess clear appreciation for deadlines; excellent time management skills are necessary.
• Strong verbal and writing skills.
• Must be able to handle multiple tasks.
• Must be able to be fully confidential.
