We are seeking an experienced BESS (Battery Energy Storage System) Commissioning and Lockout/Tagout (LOTO) Manager to oversee the commissioning phase of our BESS projects in Idaho. This role will be instrumental in ensuring the safe and efficient startup of energy storage systems while adhering to all safety regulations and best practices.
Key Responsibilities:
Lead the commissioning process for BESS projects, ensuring all systems are tested, verified, and operational according to project specifications.
Develop and implement comprehensive Lockout/Tagout (LOTO) procedures to ensure the safety of personnel during maintenance and commissioning activities.
Coordinate with project engineers, contractors, and site personnel to ensure smooth execution of commissioning tasks.
Conduct safety audits and inspections to identify potential hazards and implement corrective actions as necessary.
Provide training and guidance to team members on LOTO protocols and commissioning procedures.
Maintain accurate documentation of commissioning activities, including test results and compliance records.
Communicate effectively with stakeholders regarding project status, timelines, and any issues that arise during commissioning.
Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues in collaboration with engineering teams.
Stay updated on industry standards, regulations, and best practices related to BESS commissioning and safety.
Qualifications:
Proven experience in commissioning BESS or similar energy projects.
Strong knowledge of LOTO procedures and safety regulations.
Excellent leadership and communication skills.
Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.
Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
Familiarity with relevant software tools for project management and documentation.
Preferred Qualifications:
Certification in safety management or LOTO compliance.
Experience working in renewable energy or power generation projects.
Previous experience in project management roles.
