A perm, benefitted Engineer role is available for a candidate with structural engineering experience. This is a mature company with a history in concrete manufacturing going back to 1963. This can be a Hybrid role for an experienced candidate. Relocation assistance to the gulf coast is available.
Engineer II
Location: Gulf Coast MS
Relocation or Remote for the right candidate. Hybrid for local candidates.
PE- Preferred or candidate looking to take exam within 6-12months
Summary of Primary Functions: Design of concrete products and the processes for the sale and manufacture of concrete products that enhances the profitability of the Utilities Division by providing Customers with superior value at the lowest possible cost, involving continual use of AutoCAD, other technological devices, and visual analysis.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Structural design and shop cards for all Utilities products that conform to sound engineering principals, building codes, Customer requirements, and company standards. Requires use of Finite Element Analysis and other analysis/design software to provide for optimized designs.
Technical support to Sales, Customer Service, and Plant Operations.
Active participation and contribution to the Tindall Quality Improvement Process.
Development, evaluation, and improvement of manufacturing methods.
Conceptual design of new products and products for special projects which includes system layouts, schematics, detailed product drawings, and proposals for customers.
New and improved manufacturing equipment design.
Ongoing personal development through training, reading, and special assignments.
Work Measurement, work plan development, work procedure definition, and establishment of work standards.
Job Specifications or Qualifications:
Certificates, Licenses, Registration:
PE required or will sit for exam within 6-12 months from hire date.
Education:
4-year Civil Engineering degree is required.
Experience:
3 to 5 (+) years prior or related experience is required.
