The Senior Quality Manager will develop and implement local programs to ensure compliance with all quality & and regulatory requirements and to improve the quality & conformance of our products. The Senior Quality Manager will be accountable for establishing and maintaining quality management practices and performances in accordance with FAA, AS9100 and customer requirements.
Responsibilities:
Lead the professional growth of the Quality Organization by improving processes and personnel consistent with the Leadership Model
Achieves quality assurance operational objectives by contributing information and analysis to strategic plans and reviews; implementing production, productivity, quality, and customer-service standards; completing audits; determining systems improvements; implementing change
Writes QA process and inspection procedures, maintains data bases for document control and corrective actions
Meets quality assurance financial objectives by estimating requirements; preparing an annual budget; scheduling expenditures; analyzing variances; initiating corrective actions
Validates quality processes by establishing product specifications and quality attributes; measuring production; documenting evidence; determining operational and performance qualification; writing and updating quality assurance procedures
Maintain certification and compliance efforts for AS9100
Provide managerial and technical oversight and effectively interact with regulatory and business partners to enhance and improve business and regulatory relationships
Oversight of Quality Inspection, Designated Inspection and ensure efficiency and effectiveness
Requirements:
Comprehensive knowledge of AS9100 Quality Management Systems
Comprehensive knowledge of APQP/AS9145
Knowledge of quality policies, procedures, and all related technical data required
Knowledge of 8D/5-Why's, or other problem solving methods
Customer service oriented with excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Collaborative leadership skills to achieve desired results in a highly matrixed work environment.
Strong ability to manage multiple projects and effectively prioritize resources to meet time bound deliverables
Promotes, encourages, and leads employees towards a continuous improvement culture.
Comprehensive auditing skills in a manufacturing and/or regulatory environment preferred (not required)
Education and Experience Requirements:
Bachelor's degree in related curriculum (Aviation Sciences, Quality, Engineering) or equivalent required.
10 years minimum in quality assurance/control, manufacturing operations experience required., with at least 5 years in a supervisory capacity
Experienced in managing and maintaining a Quality Management System
