Senior Quality Manager

JOB SUMMARY

The Senior Quality Manager will develop and implement local programs to ensure compliance with all quality & and regulatory requirements and to improve the quality & conformance of our products. The Senior Quality Manager will be accountable for establishing and maintaining quality management practices and performances in accordance with FAA, AS9100 and customer requirements.

Responsibilities:
  • Lead the professional growth of the Quality Organization by improving processes and personnel consistent with the Leadership Model
  • Achieves quality assurance operational objectives by contributing information and analysis to strategic plans and reviews; implementing production, productivity, quality, and customer-service standards; completing audits; determining systems improvements; implementing change
  • Writes QA process and inspection procedures, maintains data bases for document control and corrective actions
  • Meets quality assurance financial objectives by estimating requirements; preparing an annual budget; scheduling expenditures; analyzing variances; initiating corrective actions
  • Validates quality processes by establishing product specifications and quality attributes; measuring production; documenting evidence; determining operational and performance qualification; writing and updating quality assurance procedures
  • Maintain certification and compliance efforts for AS9100
  • Provide managerial and technical oversight and effectively interact with regulatory and business partners to enhance and improve business and regulatory relationships
  • Oversight of Quality Inspection, Designated Inspection and ensure efficiency and effectiveness

Requirements:
  • Comprehensive knowledge of AS9100 Quality Management Systems
  • Comprehensive knowledge of APQP/AS9145
  • Knowledge of quality policies, procedures, and all related technical data required
  • Knowledge of 8D/5-Why's, or other problem solving methods
  • Customer service oriented with excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Collaborative leadership skills to achieve desired results in a highly matrixed work environment.
  • Strong ability to manage multiple projects and effectively prioritize resources to meet time bound deliverables
  • Promotes, encourages, and leads employees towards a continuous improvement culture.
  • Comprehensive auditing skills in a manufacturing and/or regulatory environment preferred (not required)

Education and Experience Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree in related curriculum (Aviation Sciences, Quality, Engineering) or equivalent required.
  • 10 years minimum in quality assurance/control, manufacturing operations experience required., with at least 5 years in a supervisory capacity
  • Experienced in managing and maintaining a Quality Management System
  • Aerospace industry experience required
