Position summary: this individual works as a member of a team to provide on[1]going maintenance and implementation of the network infrastructure. Ensures stability, availability, reliability and security of the production network environment. Works on complex problems where analysis of situation requires in-depth evaluation of various technical and non-technical factors. Perform daily problem resolution, preventive maintenance, and performance tuning, all within best practice standards.
Requirements: Ability to understand, recommend, and implement LAN/WLAN/WAN functionality. Must have a good understanding of Cisco routing, switching, firewalls, VPN, VoIP and wireless systems as well as comfort with most common network concepts such as TCP/IP, DHCP and DNS. Ability to effectively communicate to technical and non-technical staff at all levels of the organization. Ability to work on projects both independently and in a team environment. Ability to troubleshoot issues within all aspects of Information Technology. Ability to deal with a rapid and fast paced changing environment. Excellent written and oral communication skills. Sound problem resolution, judgment, negotiating and decision making skills. Ability to manage and deliver multiple project phases at the same time, and able to manage ongoing operational issues with longer term strategic work.
