Job Summary: The Data Science Lead will guide the Data Science team in developing and delivering models that drive growth, results, and action at scale. This role is a unique opportunity for a hands-on data scientist to grow into the next steps in their career journey and apply their technical expertise in a company building capabilities in this field. The ideal candidate for this role will have a strong technical background and be an excellent communicator with the ability to describe complex concepts clearly and concisely.

Essential Duties:
  • Spearhead the development and implementation of machine learning models and algorithms that deliver measurable business value and/or enhancing business operations
  • Direct projects that combine analytical and organizational complexity towards clear, sound, and actionable decisions
  • Evaluate model performance and make recommendations for model improvements and optimizations
  • Collaborating closely with other technical teams to integrate and deploy models
  • Stay updated on the latest developments in data science, machine learning, and AI technologies, and identify opportunities for innovation and improvement
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand business requirements and translate them into analytical solutions
  • Create presentations that describe model results and recommendations to senior executives and other key stakeholders
  • Lead the technical aspects of projects, ensuring best practices, and maintaining high standards for code quality and analysis.
  • Help foster a culture of innovation and continuous improvement, encouraging the teammates to explore new approaches and technologies to solve complex data challenges
  • Oversee and evaluate the work of data scientists to ensure adherence to industry best practices

Job Qualifications:
  • 4+ years of experience in data science and data engineering required
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Math, Economics, or Statistics, OR data science boot camp or certification OR commensurate experience
  • Expert Python and SQL skills (Snowflake preferred)
  • Familiarity with one or more Python data science and/or statistics libraries (Pytorch, Scikit learn, Statsmodels)
  • Familiarity with one or more Python data visualization libraries (Bokeh, Matplotlib, Seaborn)
  • Advanced skills in probability and statistics
  • Experience with model implementation and monitoring
  • Excellent logical reasoning and attention to detail
  • Desire and capacity to learn about RE/MAX's business operations
  • Experience with AWS (S3, ECS, ECR, and EC2) and Docker required
  • Experience with Apache Airflow (AWS MWAA) and Apache Spark required

Physical Requirements:
  • Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
  • Must be able to lift 15 pounds at times.

Travel Requirements:
  • Up to once a quarter

Hire Range/Rate:

$90,000 - $114,000

Actual compensation offered to candidate will be finalized at offer and may be above or below the posted range due to skill level, experience, industry specific knowledge, education/certifications, or geographic location. The offer rate represents one component of the RE/MAX Holdings total compensation package. Employees will also receive a number of benefits as listed below. Other compensation for this position may include bonus eligibility.
