ISPN is looking to expand its current team by filling a position for a Linux Server Administrator. Please see additional specifications about the position below:

Location: Lenexa, KS (flexibility to work from home on scheduled Flex/WFH)
This role is for an experienced Linux server administrator to join our team that is interested in working with a small team to manage approximately 100 Linux servers that are providing mission critical services like DNS and DHCP and email services to ISPs around the USA.
Duties and Responsibilities
Work independently and with others to configure, troubleshoot, maintain and upgrade servers
Collaborate professionally with partners and end-users via video conference, email and verbally
Collaborate with Server Administrators, developers and engineers to design/build/maintain systems and applications
Resolve escalations/service tickets from internal and external parties.
Respond to and monitor alarms from monitoring systems
Troubleshoot data and client issues
Available for on-call support rotation
Work/Professional Experience
3 years' work experience in roles primarily serving as a Linux server administrator
Experience in a role that involved configuring and troubleshooting email clients
Experience in a role that involved configuring and troubleshooting DHCP
Experience in a role that involved managing or troubleshooting DNS
Bachelor's degree in computer science, software engineering, or a related professional experience.
Skills
Experience with RedHat, CentOS, Alma Linux or derivative
Experience with Dell PowerEdge servers
Experience administering Apache
Experience administering ProFTPd or similar FTP servers
Experience administering FreeRADIUS or similar RADIUS server
Experience administering ISC BIND or other DNS server software
Experience administering ISC DHCP or KEA DHCP server
Experience administering Postfix
Experience administering Cyrus-IMAP
Experience using MySQL, MariaDB, or similar relational database is beneficial
Experience using VMware, Proxmox, or similar hypervisor is beneficial
Experience with database management and security
Outstanding diagnostic, problem-solving, and analytical skills
Excellent oral and written communication
Passionate about new and existing technologies
Ability to work on projects that are complex in nature and where considerable judgment and initiative are required in implementation and problem resolution

The position is full-time salaried, and work will at times include coordination with clients or peers to perform some tasks during planned overnight or early morning maintenance windows and being on-call to assist, if needed, during unplanned outages.
