We are currently seeking a Product Engineer to support the Kimberly-Clark Professional North America Research and Development Team, focusing on industrial wiper development, testing, and commercialization. The role will be located in Roswell, GA and report to the Research Manager of Wiper Product Development.

The role is critical in delivering new product solutions that fuel growth for the Wipers category within the North American business. The role will support product development and commercialization activities fostering product solutions, manufacturing optimization and brand maintenance.  This position requires an individual with a passion for delivering products that meet end user needs, and the ability to support multi-faceted R&D programs.  Candidates should have demonstrated the ability to effectively interface with a broad range of team members, customers, and manufacturing partners.

Responsibilities include:


  • Support material, process, and product development projects. These projects will range from concept development through commercialization and could include manufacturing support.

  • Plan and carry out project responsibilities as a key project role player to meet objectives.  Communicate and document project plans and results to stakeholders. 

  • Collaborate effectively across internal cross-functional teams as well as external partners and customers.

  • Provide protection to technologies, processes, materials, and products through appropriate use of patents and other Intellectual Property protection processes.

  • Maintain documentation as required by the stage-gate process and design management requirements.

  • Develop knowledge and skills to be recognized as an effective implementer of research principles, scientific analysis, and project management.

  • Conceive creative concepts leading to technical innovations or cost savings opportunities. 

  • Conduct all communications and transactions with integrity and honesty so as to build a strong business reputation.

  • Use financial information and analysis to support fact-based business decisions to support successful implementation of innovation and cost transformation projects

Basic Qualifications:


  • Bachelor’s or advanced degree in a related major scientific field or engineering discipline from an accredited college or university.

  • Demonstrated ability to work independently or as part of a team to complete projects within required timeframes

  • A track record of strong project leadership capabilities

Preferred Qualifications:


  • Experience and/or understanding of design, development, and commercialization activities related to consumer products.

  • Experience working cross-functionally with business unit marketing and sales teams as well as interfacing with manufacturing and vendors.

  • Understanding of Kimberly-Clark products, procedures, and processes.

  • Strong customer facing communication skills in technical and business settings.
