THIS IS AN ONSITE ROLE IN LOCATED IN BALL GROUND, GA. THIS IS NOT A REMOTE OR HYBRID ROLE.
Essential Functions:
Monitor and respond quickly and effectively to requests received through the IT helpdesk
Monitor Service Desk for tickets assigned to the queue
Modify configurations, utilities, software default settings, etc. for the local workstation
Utilize and maintain the helpdesk tracking software
Assist with onboarding of new users
Install, test and configure new workstations, peripheral equipment and software
Maintain inventory of all equipment, software and software licenses
Report issues to the Tier 3 support for escalation
Manage PC setup and deployment for new employees using standard hardware, images and software
Assign users and computers to proper groups in Active Directory and Office 365
Perform timely workstation hardware and software upgrades as required
Experience setting up virtual infrastructure leveraging VMWare ESXI
Design, deploy and maintain enterprise infrastructure including storage, servers, and software
Manage virtualization platform and plan upgrades and expansions activities
Manage infrastructure automation and configuration management solution
Plan and execute upgrades and maintenance for enterprise applications within the company
Administer Windows Server, Active Directory, Azure and Office 365
Monitor, troubleshoot, and resolve PC issues
Support Mobile Device Management solutions
First and Second level support for end-user systems and applications issues.
In-depth understanding of TCP/IP networking protocols
In-depth understanding of IP routing
Ability to work with leadership to identify network related solutions to business problems
An understanding of standard Windows networking operations, such as how to route through different NICs, how to add a printer, how to use tools like Wireshark is desired.
Experience in ISP validation, control plane management access of firewalls and switches, and security feature implementation and troubleshooting
Excellent verbal communication and writing skills are required.
Candidate must be able to work effectively with non-technical clients, sometimes ranging up to C-level users.
Must enjoy working in a team environment and be able to work with multiple internal departments
Able to prioritize efforts and adjust schedule accordingly.
Well versed in the use of standard Microsoft Office productivity tools like Word and Excel, should be able to modify and update diagrams in Visio, and be capable of using numerous communications platforms like Teams, Zoom, and Webex.
Possess a strong curiosity and enjoy learning about technology in general. This is a position that will provide exposure to a wide variety of technology and will require continuous learning and skills improvement.
Ideal candidate will be teamwork-oriented, passionate about technology and possess an excellent work ethic and communication skills.
Required Skills/Education
Bachelor's Degree Computer Science, CIS, or related field (or equivalent work experience in a related field)
2 years of relevant System Administration, and support experience is required
Other Requirements
Nights and weekends may be required
Travel may be required
