We are currently looking for a Commercial Lines Account Manager. Please find below the list of responsibilities, qualifications, and education requirements. The Account Manager helps in building long-term relationships with our clients and insurance carriers which in turn helps our company reach our business goals. Responsibilities
Market new business, prepare proposals for clients and maintain underwriting and marketing information for each carrier.
Meet regularly with Producers to insure all new and existing client proposals/renewals information is accurate and up to date. Identifying exposure to loss and recommend appropriate coverage levels and options.
Complete applications in coordination with Producer.
Initiate renewal policies for existing clients and discuss and create renewal strategy with producer, process renewals.
Bind insurance coverage and prepare binders, certificates, policies, endorsements etc. Ensure that these items are promptly delivered to the client.
Review policies for accuracy.
Responsible for producing and processing invoice payments for each client. Follow up with Producer if payment is not received.
Respond promptly to phone calls from clients and companies regarding insurance, claims, or administrative problems, and comply with the request and/or refer to the producer only when necessary.
Prepare summaries of insurance, schedules and proposals for clients and prospects as needed.
Accompany producer on prospect and client meetings as needed.
Review audits of policies; verifying accuracy and facilities corrections.
Maintain a suspense system to follow up on any outstanding items, correspondence, and reports.
Be familiar with and follow agency E&O guidelines.
Maintain electronic files in an orderly, up-to-date manner.
Perform special projects at management's request.
Cross train with other Account Managers in CL Department to become familiar with their accounts.
Qualifications/Education
PA P&C License required.
5+ years of Commercial Lines Experience handling complex accounts
Bachelor's Degree or equivalent work experience.
Superior written and verbal communication skills
Proficient in Microsoft Office products, database management, and ability to navigate and utilize agency software.
Professional Designations a Plus.
Work Environment
This position will be primarily working in the office until fully trained. Once trained, this employee will be able to work a flexible hybrid schedule.
