Currently partnered with a globally leading oil & gas company who own & operate a tremendous amount of ERCOT power assets with plans to develop substantially more. We are looking for a Senior Asset Manager with a great deal of experience hedging, optimizing, and managing load within ERCOT.
Responsibilities:
Create and execute strategies for Day-ahead bidding of wind and solar farms within ERCOT
Work cohesively with the short term Trading team to estimate congestion risks and create strategies to manage them
Execute hedging strategies deploying different instruments according to the risk, such as energy hedges, gas hedges, options, and Congestion Revenue Rights
Produce monthly market analysis containing energy balance the performance of transactions, market trends, and recommended course of action
Qualifications:
A minimum of seven (7) years of power market experience with at least six (6) years of experience in Competitive Energy Markets, preferably dealing with generation assets
Extensive experience in the market structure, transactions, and protocols of ERCOT
Excellent data handling, structuring, organizing, processing, and presenting skills - using Excel and PowerPoint
Strong understanding of business principles, contracts, and relationships, including specific experience negotiating power purchase agreements and/or OTC trades
