Strategizes and maintains ownership of a comprehensive and specific plan for the AEC's hydrocarbon marketing strategy and decision making
Negotiates long term transportation, sales, and storage contracts and maintains responsibility for coordination with third party marketing arrangements to maximize netbacks and company value
Ability to manage and develop departmental capacity for necessary scheduling activities related to crude and natural gas as transported by pipeline, rail, barge, or trucks from tanks to terminal storage
Tracks and analyzes crude and natural gas industry fundamentals, including inventories, supply and demand data, imports/exports, rig counts, and refinery capacity utilization
Monitors industry plans for expansions and new build projects including new pipelines, storage, refinery expansions, fractionation, etc.
Performs ad hoc marketing and strategic analysis to shape decision-making for the Company
Communicates and coordinates with internal and external marketers, operations, and production groups to provide assistance in forecasting and in relation to sales and/or transportation
Ability to manage negotiations and formulate strategic recommendations related to the Company's financial derivative activity and positioning as it pertains to hydrocarbon marketing
Education and Experience
BA in Business or other applicable field
12+ years of experience and employment in applicable field
Extensive knowledge of crude, natural gas & NGL markets
Midstream/Marketing oil & gas experience required; Rockies oil & gas experience preferred
