Job Description:

Join our forward-thinking team as a Senior Marketing Strategist, where you'll spearhead marketing initiatives for both new and renewing commercial accounts. Under the guidance of our Marketing Director, you will be instrumental in executing impactful marketing strategies, fostering key carrier partnerships, and leading our marketing team to achieve our strategic goals. You'll also partner closely with our Risk Management Lead to drive optimal outcomes and enhance our marketing practices.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Commercial Account Marketing: Direct all marketing activities for mid to large-scale accounts with revenues above $5K. Oversee the complete marketing lifecycle for both new and renewing business, ensuring strategic alignment with company goals.
  • Carrier Engagement: Schedule and conduct meetings with vital carrier partners, cultivating and enhancing these essential relationships. Address inquiries from carriers and marketing representatives with efficiency.
  • Team Leadership: Collaborate with the Risk Management Lead to provide training, mentoring, and support to the marketing team. Assist in managing the Risk Management calendar and nurturing carrier relationships.
  • Negotiation & Analysis: Engage in rate and commission negotiations with carrier partners. Evaluate rates, premiums, and terms to ensure competitive and profitable offerings. Develop detailed market summaries and premium analysis reports.
  • Documentation & Presentation: Create comprehensive insurance proposals for new and renewing business. For larger accounts, craft and present engaging PowerPoint presentations that summarize terms and conditions. Ensure all documentation is thorough and complete.
  • Process Enhancement: Work with producers and account managers to streamline and enhance marketing processes. Keep the marketing register updated to track account progress and changes.
  • Technology Skills: Utilize Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and collaboration tools like Teams and OneNote proficiently. Familiarity with Vertafore Agency Management Systems (AMS360) and Image Right File System is a plus.

Qualifications:
  • Experience: 3-10 years in commercial lines marketing, with a demonstrated success in managing intricate accounts and relationships.
  • Skills: Excellent organizational and communication abilities. Strong analytical skills with a keen attention to detail. Effective negotiation skills and the capacity to juggle multiple priorities in a dynamic setting.
  • Technical Proficiency: Competent in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and familiar with collaboration tools like Teams, OneNote, and industry-specific systems such as Vertafore AMS360.
  • Personal Attributes: Proactive and team-oriented with a resilience under pressure. Exceptional problem-solving skills and a dedication to continuous improvement.
