Job Summary:
The Merchandise Specialist contributes to the execution of the overall business strategy as defined by leadership. Collaborating across departments, this role is responsible for delivering a superior consumer experience on each website, ensuring alignment with brand identity. Additionally, the Merchandise Specialist will monitor supplier inventory levels, communicating any discrepancies or challenges to relevant teams.
Job Responsibilities:
Identify opportunities to improve site navigation and search as new assortments and product categories are introduced
Work with sales team to choose products that fit the Corporate Industry
Review online merchandising of newly created stock to optimize site placement and customer facing experience
Collaborate with internal content teams to ensure timely photo & copy updates relating to product revisions and re-merchandising initiatives
Play an integral role within the team to execute web merchandising strategies that create a compelling shopping experience on the website
Proof item content to ensure best-in-class copy, imagery and videos are offered to our customers
Review websites and work with IT team to troubleshoot and continually improve site content, functionality, and design
Maintain up to date on the Company's products and sales trends to provide impactful assistance to the sales team and our customers
Actively participate in projects to assist sales team with delivering exceptional customer experiences
Perform other duties as assigned by manager.
Job Requirements:
Bachelor's Degree
Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Excel is a must
Ability to draw conclusions from data and drive action
Experience in website/e-commerce site design is a plus
Experience with Microsoft Dynamics Navision, and dot.net is a plus
Proficient computer skills
Demonstrate initiative & ability to work independently on multiple projects in a fast-paced environment
Strong problem-solving skills: ability to simplify complex issues and then communicate recommendations
Impeccable attention to detail and strong organizational skills
Ability to indirectly manage and build strong relationships and consensus across diverse teams and personality types
Website merchandising experience a plus
