An exciting opportunity has opened for a talented Manufacturing Engineer to join our client's team on-site in Oak Ridge, TN. This role will require you to collaborate with cross-functional teams from manufacturing, quality engineering, and procurement, providing technical support and guidance for various processes. As a key player in the operations team, you will resolve issues, implement solutions, and continuously improve production processes.
Key Responsibilities:
Develop and provide technical support for manufacturing processes.
Train and provide guidance to the manufacturing and test teams.
Design and develop manufacturing and testing aids.
Review and update designs to ensure manufacturability.
Organize, plan, and maintain production lines to improve efficiency.
Identify opportunities to reduce production costs.
Troubleshoot electrical failures and mechanical defects.
Ensure compliance with safety and quality standards, including ISO and NADCAP.
Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Manufacturing, Mechanical, or Electrical Engineering.
Level 1: Entry-level with a Bachelor's degree in Engineering.
Level 2: 3+ years of experience in manufacturing engineering.
Level 3: 5+ years of experience with proven expertise in the field.
Strong understanding of part and assembly drawings, including GD&T ASME Y14.5 - 2009 standards.
In-depth knowledge of industry-standard manufacturing processes, inspection, and testing.
Experience with quality assurance, particularly in MRB and disposition processes.
Proficiency in troubleshooting electronics, use of power and test equipment, and knowledge of ISO 9001 quality management systems preferred.
Skills & Attributes:
Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
Proficient in data management systems like SAP, Autodesk Inventor, and JIRA.
Ability to develop and maintain effective working relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
Willingness to travel up to 50%, both domestically and internationally.
Physical Requirements:
Ability to sit, stand, and walk for extended periods (2-4 hours at a time).
Occasionally lift and/or move up to 40 pounds.
Work will be performed in both office and production environments.
