Job Description:

Server Administrator - Workstation Server Administrator - USC Citizenship Required for Security Clearance - NO Visa, EAD, C2C, H1B - Must be a United States Citizenship

Duties:

Maintain workstation/server infrastructure standards. Deploy infrastructure software to clients. Monitor devices for deviation and address issues promptly and appropriately. Administer and maintain tools for software delivery and remote management.
  • Administer and deploy infrastructure software to clients including new builds, master files, upgrades, and patches. Record, verify, and coordinate customer requests to ensure appropriate distribution. Establish and follow all related processes such as email notifications and alerts.
  • Install, configure, and maintain infrastructure software in support of business processing requirements. Develop, compile, test, debug, document, and maintain custom scripts and utilities. Create comprehensive test plans based on configurations and other specifications. Ensure data/media recoverability by implementing a schedule of system backups and database archive operations.
  • Perform monitoring/maintenance activities of the workstation/server environment and tune the system to achieve optimum performance levels. Find and troubleshoot problems before they become issues to the user and act as a higher-level support for help desk for certain problems. May consult with senior peers on certain projects.
  • Develop and maintain custom integration solutions. Establish standard configuration for software packages. Manage/maintain administrative tools for software delivery and remote management.
  • Ensure continuity with system software licensing and maintenance agreements. Conduct routine hardware and software audits of workstations and servers to ensure compliance with the organization's established standards, policies, and configuration guidelines. Develop and maintain a comprehensive infrastructure software configuration database/library of all supporting documentation. Maintain growth statistics, space forecasts, tape libraries, and software and hardware inventories.

Skills:

Required Skills and Abilities: CompTIA, Able to communicate with system users to identify, explain, and resolve problems. Solid understanding of client/server relationships to identify problem sources concerning system operations. Strong organizational skills. Required Software and Other Tools: Strong understanding of relevant operating systems and server hardware and software. Microsoft Office. Preferred Software and Other Tools: Proficiency with Citrix Work Environment: Fast-paced, multi-platformed environment that may require action and response 24X7 to support the technical business needs of the customer.

A+ Certification is required at a minimum. • High technical knowledge Microsoft Windows OS and Citrix XenDesktop. • High technical depth of PC hardware and troubleshooting knowledge. • Printer hardware and troubleshooting knowledge. Nice To Have: • PowerShell or some scripting knowledge. • Some concept of automation. • Documentation and technical writing skills. • Some concept of software and image deployment tools (MDT, SCCM/ECD, Intune, Big Fix).

Education:

Required Education: Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology or other job-related degree. or 4 years of job-related work experience or 2 years of job-related experience plus an associate's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology or other job-related degree Required Work Experience: 2 years of applicable workstation, server, and/or application support experience to include software and hardware troubleshooting.

May perform administrative tasks such as reporting, ordering replacement parts, and tracking status/inventory of items in the imaging lab. • Keeps apprised of new technologies related to workstation imaging process and Windows Operating System roadmaps. • Research and keeps abreast of current hardware standards and stay current with hardware performance testing tools. The Team: ICT Non-Host End User Platform Services. Our team manages both local and remote services, including Citrix, VDI, VPN, Intune, network printers, and physical workstations. We handle global management for PC and Citrix configurations to ensure devices function efficiently, securely, and in line with company standards.
