As the Technical Support Engineer 2 you will work with the team and as an individual contributor on maintaining and monitoring the computer systems and networks for our business. You will be tasked with solving complex technical issues and will work with team members to provide prompt and professional service. Strong decision making, communication and technical computer skills are required.
This position reports directly to the Chief Acquisition Officer.

Install and configure software and computer systems
Troubleshoot and resolve software, hardware and network related issues
Walk colleagues or clients through steps to help them resolve their technical problems
Maintain procedures that provide technical support to the entire organization
Establish accounts for new users and assist with password or login problems
Participate in business-wide meetings to provide insight into technical requirements
Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Systems Analysis or a related study or 4+ years of related experience
Excellent Customer Service skills
Experience working with end users to solve IT related problems
Expert in handling confidential and sensitive information
Exceptional verbal, written, and communication skills and attention to detail
Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team
Ability to work on tight deadlines
Strong organization skills and ability to multitask
Strong problem solving and decision making skills
Must be able to lift 50lbs
Must reside in or relocate to the Rochester, NY area
Preferred Technical Skills:
OS - Windows, macOS, Unix/Linux, ChromeOS
Google Workspace & Microsoft 365 Administration
Windows patch management
Active Directory/LDAP/RADIUS experience
Virtualization - Proxmox, Vmware, Equivalent
Backup / BCDR experience
Perform or delegate regular backup operations and implement appropriate processes for data protection, disaster recovery, and failover procedures
