Position Overview:

The Chief Operations Officer (COO) is a key member of the executive leadership team responsible for overseeing the day-to-day operations of the company, with a strong emphasis on driving operational efficiency, scalability, and growth. The COO plays a pivotal role in shaping the company's strategic direction, ensuring that technology, leadership, finance, acquisitions, and sales & marketing functions are aligned with overall business objectives.

Key Responsibilities:

Operational Leadership:

- Oversee the daily operations of the company, ensuring efficient and effective processes across all departments.

- Lead cross-functional teams to ensure smooth coordination between departments, including technology, finance, HR, and sales & marketing.

- Develop and implement scalable operational strategies that align with the company's short-term and long-term goals.

Sales & Marketing Collaboration:

- Partner with Sales & Marketing Leadership to ensure that operational resources support sales and marketing initiatives.

- Oversee the alignment of operational processes with sales strategies to drive revenue growth and customer satisfaction.

- Ensure that marketing campaigns and product launches are supported by efficient operational execution.

Leadership Development:

- Foster a culture of leadership development by implementing training programs and mentorship initiatives to cultivate high-potential employees.

- Ensure that leadership succession planning is in place to maintain operational stability and business continuity.

- Provide guidance and support to senior leadership, helping them grow in their roles and align their departments with company objectives.

Strategic Planning & Execution:

- Collaborate with the CEO and other executives on the company's strategic vision and translate it into operational initiatives.

- Develop and implement business plans, policies, and procedures that support the organization's long-term objectives.

- Continuously evaluate the company's competitive landscape and adjust operational strategies to maintain a leadership position in the market.

Technology Integration & Innovation:

- Collaborate with the Technology Director to drive innovation and leverage emerging technologies to enhance operational efficiency and customer experience.

- Ensure that technology solutions are integrated into operational processes to streamline activities and improve data-driven decision-making.

- Oversee the evaluation and implementation of new tools and platforms that enhance productivity and operational capabilities.

Financial Oversight & Budgeting:

- Work closely with the Chief Financial Officer (CFO) to manage financial planning, budgeting, and forecasting to support operational needs and growth initiatives.

- Monitor key financial metrics and operational KPIs to ensure alignment with the company's financial goals.

- Oversee cost-control initiatives and ensure optimal allocation of resources to maximize profitability.

Qualifications:

- Proven experience (10+ years) in a senior operational leadership role, preferably as a COO or in a similar capacity.

- Strong background in technology management and digital transformation.

- Extensive experience in leadership development, with a track record of building and mentoring high-performing teams.

- Solid financial acumen with experience in budgeting, forecasting, and managing P&L.

- Deep understanding of sales and marketing functions and how to operationally support them for growth.

- Strong problem-solving, decision-making, and project management skills.

- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to lead diverse teams and collaborate with C-level executives.

Preferred Qualifications:

- MBA or related advanced degree.

- Experience in high-growth industries

- Demonstrated success in scaling businesses

Expertise in mergers and acquisitions, including due diligence, integration, and post-acquisition operations.

Location: This is an in-office role. We are situated in Charlotte, NC

Reports to: Chief Executive Officer (CEO)
