As a Fabrication Specialist at Tomu, you will be hands-on in the start-to-finish manufacturing of our prefabricated lodging products. You will bring your knowledge of construction and carpentry to deliver the highest level of building accuracy and efficiency, ensuring our units are completed on-time and to the highest standards of quality.
This role requires deep experience and proficiency in layout, framing, drywall, finishing, flooring, trim work, cabinet installation, and the ability to translate that expertise into the manufacturing of our modular building process. An adaptable personality and leadership skills will be required.
This will be a hourly position based out of our Hagerstown, Maryland fabrication facility and reports to the Production Supervisor.
WHAT WILL I BE DOING?
Handling various stages of initial construction process from framing to roofing of the structural modules
Installing windows, drywall, and various cabinetry and built-ins
Fabricating and hanging exterior siding panels and flashing
Preparing units for transport and delivery
Ensuring all workmanship is plumb, level, measured exactly, cut precisely, and compliant with all design specifications and building codes
Maintaining an OSHA-compliant safe work environment
WHAT ARE WE LOOKING FOR?
Minimum five (5) years of experience in a hands-on construction role
Additional experience/knowledge desired: understanding of residential building process; non-standard roofing, siding, and water proofing; electrical, plumbing, and/or HVAC; fire suppression systems
Creativity in the building process, ability to think of new ways of doing things
