Job Summary

The Technology Skills Facilitator is responsible for facilitating various technical learning programs for participants both in person and in a virtual setting. You will work with learners and members across the organization's geographic footprint, mainly in Charlotte and the surrounding areas, to conduct Public and Private Group Classes, both virtual and in person, on an as needed basis. Please note: This is a part time, contract, project based position. This is NOT a full time position.

Responsibilities
  • Facilitate Microsoft Applications: Lead public sessions on various Microsoft applications.
  • Engage Learners: Deliver program content through in-person sessions at Catapult locations, at client sites, and virtually using platforms like Zoom and Teams.
  • Content Expertise: Become a subject matter expert on the topics you deliver.
  • Collaborate with Sales: Work with the sales team to identify client needs, customize programs, and ensure we meet their goals.
  • Create Course Materials: Develop new course content as needed.
  • Support Participation: Encourage and engage learners during sessions.
  • Manage Challenges: Handle classroom challenges independently and effectively.
  • Use Technology: Be comfortable with presentation tools and technology, including projectors and sound systems.
  • Apply Best Practices: Utilize adult learning principles to enhance classroom experiences.
  • Prepare for Delivery: Bring real-world examples and discussions into your sessions-don't just read from the materials.
  • Facilitate Diverse Groups: Confidently lead sessions ranging from 4 to 30 participants.

Qualifications
  • Certification: Microsoft Certified Trainer with expertise in Microsoft Office (2016 and Office 365) preferred but not required.
  • Experience: 3-5 years of facilitating workshops and adult classroom training.
  • Technical Proficiency: Familiarity with current and legacy Windows operating systems.
  • Communication Skills: Excellent written and verbal communication abilities.
  • Interpersonal Skills: Patience, tact, and the ability to work effectively with both technical and non-technical users.
