About the Position:

We are looking for an Employee Experience Advisor who has thrived working in a small to mid-sized company to assist VMSI in administering our corporate Employee Experience outreach and engagement.

This position offers a unique opportunity for the selected individual to truly have a significant impact on both the company and our employees' success.

The Employee Experience Advisor will be responsible for supporting all Employee Experience related duties and responsibilities for the company and will interface daily with VMSI corporate and client-facing employees and customers across the country. This position is in our corporate headquarters in Sterling, VA and reports directly to our senior leadership team.

POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Assist with all assigned Employee Experience functions related to day-to-day management of employees, and minimizing organizational risks, .
  • Execute all Employee Experience processes and procedures and recommend process improvements when applicable.
  • Assist with the administration of VMSI's company compliance program requirement, including, Affordable Care Act, eVerify, FMLA, FLSA, HIPPA, Workers Compensation Insurance, OFFCP, EEO, Ethics hotline, OSHA, VETS100, ERISA, COBRA and other related requirements.
  • Maintain and ensure personnel files are up-to-date and comply with applicable legal requirements.
  • Facilitate and interact with managers and supervisors on all matters related to employee relations with regard to policy interpretation and complaint resolution.
  • Assist in managing and administering all performance programs including training programs, employee annual review process and individualized performance improvement plans (development, review, delivery, and monitoring).
  • May augment hiring initiatives when needed.
  • Act as POC for all employees for questions related to any Employee Experience topics and primary individual to address any issues employees may bring to company attention.
  • Assist in the administration of unemployment claims, including filing paperwork, filing any necessary appeals, etc.
  • Assist in managing and administering all Employee Experience related insurances; EPLI, workers' compensation insurance matters including classification of employees, policy renewals, insurance audits, claims processing, etc.
  • Manage employee outreach and recognition programs.
  • Assist in the ongoing administration of all Employee Experience related vendors to ensure service delivery and accuracy from the service provider/TPA to ensure compliance service agreement(s), and accurate invoices such as all benefits carriers, COBRA administration, FSA/HSA, 401(K).

Must possess strong interpersonal skills including diplomacy, conflict resolution and maintain strict confidentiality

Ability to work under pressure to meet tight deadlines, flexible with work hours, learns quickly, enjoys the challenge of unfamiliar tasks, and has a can - do attitude

Strong sense of pride in work product

Strong attention to detail, follow-through and sense of urgency

Inquisitive, Hungry & Enthusiastic

Required:
  • PRIOR & CURRENT EXPERIENCE WORKING IN A SMALL TO MID-SIZE COMPANY.
  • MUST HAVE: Minimum 5 years applicable and progressive experience in a customer or employee support position.
  • Experience in reading; interpreting, and the application of rules, regulations, policies to ensure compliancy with requirements
  • Strong experience and capabilities within MS Word, Outlook, Excel, PowerPoint
  • Excellent verbal and written communication
