Position Overview: We are looking for an experienced Superintendent/Foreman to oversee and manage daily on-site operations for our residential renovation projects. The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of residential construction processes, a hands-on approach, and the ability to lead and inspire a team to achieve the highest quality standards.
Key Responsibilities:
On-Site Management: Supervise and coordinate all on-site activities, ensuring that projects are completed on time, within scope, and to the highest quality standards.
Team Leadership: Lead and manage a team of skilled tradespeople, subcontractors, and laborers, fostering a positive and productive work environment.
Quality Assurance: Monitor all work to ensure it meets company quality standards and client expectations, conducting regular inspections and addressing any issues promptly.
Safety Oversight: Enforce all safety regulations and protocols on-site, ensuring a safe working environment for all team members.
Schedule Coordination: Develop and maintain project schedules, coordinating with project managers, subcontractors, and suppliers to ensure timely delivery of materials and completion of work.
Client Interaction: Work closely with clients to ensure their vision is being realized, addressing any concerns and providing regular progress updates.
Problem-Solving: Quickly identify and resolve any issues or conflicts that arise during construction, minimizing delays and maintaining project momentum.
Documentation: Maintain accurate records of daily activities, progress reports, and any changes to the scope of work.
Qualifications:
Experience: Minimum of 5 years of experience as a Superintendent, Foreman, or similar role in residential construction, with a focus on residential new construction and remodels.
Skills:
Strong leadership and team management abilities
Excellent problem-solving and decision-making skills
In-depth knowledge of construction techniques, materials, and best practices
Ability to read and interpret blueprints and construction plans
Strong communication skills, both verbal and written
Proficiency in construction management software and tools is a plus
