Job Overview:

We are seeking an experienced Procurement Specialist with a strong background in the furniture industry. The ideal candidate must be able to read and interpret technical drawings, including CAD files, to ensure the timely procurement of materials and products that align with design specifications and project requirements.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Manage procurement activities for furniture projects, including sourcing, purchasing, and vendor relations.
  • Review and interpret technical drawings and CAD files to ensure accurate product orders.
  • Work closely with the design and production teams to understand material needs and project timelines.
  • Negotiate pricing, terms, and delivery schedules with suppliers to maintain cost-efficiency.
  • Maintain detailed records of purchase orders, contracts, and supplier information.
  • Monitor inventory levels and ensure timely replenishment of materials.
  • Coordinate with suppliers to resolve any issues related to quality, pricing, or delivery.
  • Ensure compliance with sustainability initiatives in procurement processes.

Qualifications:
  • High school diploma or equivalent required; Bachelor's degree preferred.
  • 3+ years of relevant experience in procurement or purchasing within the furniture industry.
  • Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and CAD files.
  • Strong understanding of furniture design, materials, and manufacturing processes.
  • Excellent negotiation and communication skills.
  • Proficiency in ERP systems and procurement software.
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines simultaneously.

Preferred Qualifications:
  • Experience with sustainable procurement practices.
  • Familiarity with CAD software and design tools.
  • Experience working with high-profile or luxury clientele in the furniture industry.
