Arcticom LLC, a subsidiary of Bering Straits Native Corporation is currently seeking an experienced Senior Data Analyst at Joint Base Andrews, MD. We are looking for a Data Operations and Metadata Specialist to improve data quality and manage metadata for SAF/FM systems. Key duties include establishing metadata frameworks, overseeing data ingestion pipelines, cataloging systems, and supporting data publication. The role also involves implementing data standards, ensuring data protection, and providing training on FASTR tools.
Responsibilities
ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

Establishing a metadata framework and coordinating with stakeholders to conduct data maturity assessments on FM Portfolio systems.
Implementing data quality management practices to enhance data across FM systems.
Constructing queries and analyzing results to provide recommendations that improve system auditability and data maturity.
Assisting in baselining and inventorying SAF/FM data and products in comprehensive data catalogs, with details on purpose and ownership.
Supporting the implementation of common services for data publication, search, and discovery.
Implementing metadata standards for data location, access, and cataloging FM systems in the Department of Defense (DoD) federated data catalog platform.
Ensuring proper tagging, maintenance, and protection of data and records throughout their lifecycle, including metadata lineage and pedigree.
Assisting with the oversight of data ingestion pipelines and monitoring data quality.
Supporting the documentation and monitoring of data exchange specifications (Memorandums of Agreement) for FASTR-acquired systems.
Ensuring data is presented in a standardized manner across SAF/FM while preserving its semantic meaning.
Providing functional advice on FASTR products compared to existing capabilities and supporting data analytics efforts.
Establishing and monitoring Data Guardrail standards and policies to maintain data integrity.
Supporting the creation, retrieval, sharing, and management of data across FM enterprise platforms and services.
Conducting FASTR training sessions, office hours for business users, and creating training documentation for onboarding users to FASTR tools and technologies.
Qualifications

Required (Minimum) Qualifications
Must be US Citizen?
3-10 years of experience
Bachelors degree from an accredited college in a related discipline, or equivalent experience/combined education
Interim Secret minimum required
DC Metro Area able to go into client site (Andrews AFB) 3 x week
Back-end engineer
Experience with Advana (FASTR enclave preferably)
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities

Must be able to work and collaborate in group environments
Thorough understanding of Data Management methodologies and tools

Job is performed in an office setting with exposure to computer screens and requires extensive use of a computer, keyboard, mouse and multi-line telephone system. The work described herein is primarily a modern office setting. Typical work hours are 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. (Eastern Time). Job may require additional hours. Work hours may change at Management's discretion with or without prior notice. Travel (local and continental United States) may be required at the determination of the USAF.

ADDITIONAL QUALIFYING FACTORS
As a condition of employment, may be required to pass a pre-employment drug screening, as well as have acceptable reference and background check results to obtain access to military base. Must have reliable transportation to/from work a necessity and must be able to obtain access to military installations.
