Job Summary:
Seeking mainly standard profiles to manage generic projects (10-20 stakeholders, 6 months to 1 year duration, very light on the tech side) with the support of the head of the project management. Looking to find a resource willing to learn and quite hands on happy also to learn new tools (eg. powerBI). Being flexible and able to understand the needs of our stakeholders is very important.
Experience and background in biology, healthcare, life science, drug discovery & development in an academic or commercial setting is a plus.
Responsibilities:
Project execution: Continuously follow up on project plan, workstream progress, dependencies, milestones, actions; and adjust project plan when needed according to project governance. Prepare and execute project meetings incl. SteerCo meetings
Communication: Ability to listen & communicate in a clear, direct (summary), simple and user-centric language both oral and written towards different layers in the organisation. Ability to create and conduct simple and user-centric presentations (PowerPoint). Ability to facilitate meetings and workshops efficiently and energizing. Able to communicate with non IT people. Agile mindset
Problem-solving: Ability to analyse a problem, facilitate input and take action, overcome problems and create progress in the project
Project planning: Ability to create a comprehensive project plan that outlines the project scope, workstreams, timeline, milestones, governance, RACI, risks and resource allocation
Stakeholder management: Ability to seek insight to create a stakeholder list, analysis and plan for how to involve and inform different stakeholders. Continuously involvement and alignment with stakeholders. Ability to sense/know when stakeholder involvement and engagement is needed when unforeseen challenges appear
Teamwork/Collaboration: Act a team player by always trying to play each other better. Act respectful, collaborative and give & receive constructive feedback to and from colleagues
Technical expertise: Ability to use common project management methods, tools and templates
Education, Qualifications, Skills, and Experience:
Bachelor's degree in business administration, economics, finance or a related field, from an accredited university required, or equivalent combination of education and experience required.
May consider an associate's degree from an accredited university with a minimum of 5 years of experience in project management.
Minimum 3-5 years of experience with a proven track record in project management, project support (e.g. as controller, project manager, assistant, procurement), project management office (PMO) or portfolio management.
Experience working in large and matrixed organizations.
Proficient in Microsoft Office, with a strong command of Teams, PowerPoint, Power BI and Excel.
Knowledge of, or willingness to learn SAP S/4HANA and Ariba.
Strong organizational skills with a keen attention to detail and deadlines.
Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, and stakeholder management.
Ability to work independently and lead, as part of an integrated, diverse team and be comfortable in multiple, highly varied settings, and tight deadlines with different work and learning styles.
Dedication to achieving excellence and adding a personal touch to their work.
Willingness and curiosity to solve problems, coupled with a sense of humor.
