Job Description:
Our client, a Global Investment Bank, is seeking an Entry Level Analyst in their Baltimore, MD location: Key Responsibilities:
- Assist in preparing financial reports, including balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow statements.
- Perform data entry and reconciliation of financial transactions, ensuring accuracy and compliance with company policies.
- Support month-end and year-end closing processes by preparing journal entries and assisting with account reconciliations.
- Analyze financial data to identify trends, variances, and opportunities for cost savings.
- Collaborate with various departments to ensure timely and accurate processing of invoices, expenses, and payments.
- Help maintain and update financial databases and systems.
- Assist in the preparation of budgets and forecasts under the supervision of senior finance staff.
- Conduct research on financial regulations and market trends to support business decision-making.
- Provide general administrative support to the finance team as needed.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or a related field.
- Strong analytical skills with attention to detail and accuracy.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and basic knowledge of financial software (e.g., QuickBooks, SAP, Oracle).
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
- Basic understanding of financial statements and accounting principles.
- Willingness to learn and take on new responsibilities.
Preferred Skills:
- Internship experience in finance, accounting, or a related field.
- Familiarity with financial modeling and forecasting.
- Experience using financial reporting tools like Bloomberg or other financial databases.
