Job Title: Process Engineer - Mining / Mineral-Chemical Processing

About Us: Industrial Systems Consulting is supporting a leading company in the mining and mineral processing industry. They are today building out new facilities / operations in Wyoming.
Job Summary: We are seeking a skilled Process Engineer to join our team and oversee the development, optimization, and management of our mineral and chemical processing operations. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in process engineering, with experience in the mining or mineral-processing industry. This role involves working closely with other engineers, operators, and management to improve process efficiency, ensure safety, and drive continuous improvement.
Key Responsibilities:
Design, develop, and implement process improvements for mineral and chemical processing operations.
Conduct process simulations and modeling to evaluate the performance and optimization of processing systems.
Analyze process data and performance metrics to identify opportunities for improvement and troubleshoot issues.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate new technologies and processes into existing operations.
Ensure compliance with environmental regulations, safety standards, and industry best practices.
Develop and maintain process documentation, including standard operating procedures (SOPs), process flow diagrams, and technical reports.
Lead or participate in process hazard analyses (PHA) and risk assessments.
Provide technical support and training to operations and maintenance personnel.
Monitor and report on key performance indicators (KPIs) and process efficiency metrics.
Manage and execute projects related to process optimization, cost reduction, and capacity expansion.
Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Chemical Engineering, Mining Engineering, or a related field. A Master's degree or relevant professional certification is a plus.
Proven experience (typically 7 - 20 years) as a Process Engineer, preferably in the mining or mineral / chemical-processing industry.
Strong understanding of process engineering principles, mineral processing techniques, and chemical engineering concepts.
Experience with process simulation software and data analysis tools.
Knowledge of environmental regulations, safety standards, and industry best practices.
Excellent problem-solving skills, with the ability to analyze complex systems and develop innovative solutions.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively in a team-oriented environment.
Ability to manage multiple projects and priorities in a fast-paced setting.
Willingness to travel to various sites as required.
Working Conditions:
