The Technology for the Chief Operating Office (TCOO) group plays a crucial role in providing technology services for various key functions within the Chief Operating Office. This includes operations, control executives, strategic execution, business continuity and resiliency, data solutions and services, regulatory relations, customer experience, enterprise shared services, supply chain management, and the corporate properties group. TCOO focuses on delivering technology solutions and managing application portfolios to support modernization and optimization efforts across these diverse business units.

Within TCOO, the Shared Services Operations Technology team is seeking a Technology Director to lead the Shared Services Operations Technology (SSOT) Architecture organization. The Director will help drive design of strategic solutions across Business and Real Estate Services, Financial Crimes and Regulatory Operations, Payment Operations and Operational Excellence. Additionally, the director will partner with the head of engineering practices to build solutions for key horizontal technology strategies to improve reusability, fungibility and consistency in the organization.

The director will also develop strategies to ensure that the appropriate business services are part of the SSOT organization and align with key industry standards where applicable. This leader will be responsible will focus on developing innovative practices, building strong relationships with business stakeholders, and implementing strategies for continuous improvement in reliability, performance, quality, and efficiency.

In this role, you will:
  • Manage a team of architects and lead the team to achieve objectives
  • Work closely with application engineering teams and platform support teams to design and execute actionable application migration plans
  • With cloud enterprise architects and engineers, design plans and controls for secure and efficient use of Azure and GCP services at scale
  • Champion cloud engineering best practices and non-functional requirements, including focus on stability and reliability engineering
  • Build support through influence for strategies with business and technology leaders
  • Collaborate with and serve as a cloud architecture advisor to all levels of other professionals, including executive management
  • Identify opportunities and strategies for continuous improvement of software engineering practices
  • Provide oversight to software craftsmanship, security, availability, resilience, and scalability of solutions developed by the teams or third-party providers
  • Lead implementation of projects and encourage engineering innovation
  • Interface with external agencies, regulatory bodies or industry forums
  • Develop and guide a culture of talent development to meet business objectives and strategy
Required Qualifications:
  • 8+ years of Technology Strategic Leadership experience, or equivalent demonstrated through one or a combination of the following: work experience, training, military experience, education
  • 4+ Years of Management Experience
  • 5+ years of experience supporting enterprise-level complex applications and platforms in production
  • 5+ years of experience with Cloud technologies, service offerings, including automation, orchestration, controls, and trends and industry-leading cloud vendor offerings
  • 5+ years of proven experience designing and building solutions with modern engineering technologies that leverage strong site reliability engineering principles and observability
Desired Qualifications:
  • Complex observability solutions leveraging industry standard toolset and/or custom-built solutions
  • Proven experience in providing thought-leadership, expertise to formulate, build and align technology solutions with enterprise standards and business services
  • Excellent communication (oral and written) with ability to communicate at multiple levels ranging from technologists to senior managers and executive leadership
  • Ability to deliver & engage with partners effectively in a complex environment by demonstrating co-ownership & accountability in a matrixed structure
  • Ability to develop and execute business vision, strategies, and goals
  • Ability to research and self-study to keep technical skills relevant in a highly complex environment
  • A master's degree or higher in computer science or engineering preferred
  • Cloud certification for Azure or Google Cloud Platform preferred
  • Delivery focus and willingness to work in a fast-paced, enterprise environment
  • Knowledge and understanding of application or software security such as web application penetration testing, secure code review, secure static code analysis
  • Knowledge and understanding of complex enterprise systems and frameworks including frontends, middleware, services layer, database, backend, and downstream interfaces

Compensation for this role ranges from $207,900 to $431,900 depending on experience and expertise

Reflected is the base pay range offered for this position. Pay may vary depending on factors including but not limited to achievements, skills, experience, or work location. The range listed is just one component of the compensation package offered to candidates.
